Raspberry Pi has multiple versions, with differences in performance, features, and price. Here are some recommended versions.

Raspberry Pi 5: This is currently the latest version of the Raspberry Pi, launched in October 2023. It features a quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 @ 2.4GHz processor, equipped with 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4X-4267 SDRAM, offering a significant performance boost compared to the Raspberry Pi 4, with CPU performance increasing by 2 to 3 times. Its graphics performance is also greatly improved, featuring the VideoCore VII GPU, supporting OpenGL-ES 3.1, Vulkan 1.2, dual 4kp60 HDMI display output, and HDR. Additionally, it includes encryption extension support, a Raspberry Pi PCIe connector, and other features, making it suitable for users with high-performance requirements, such as multimedia processing, development of complex programming projects, and light server applications.

Raspberry Pi 4: The Raspberry Pi 4 comes with options of 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB of memory, featuring a 1.5GHz quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A72 CPU. It has full Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and also supports dual monitors with resolutions up to 4K, along with hardware decoding for 4Kp60 HEVC video. Although its performance is not as strong as the Raspberry Pi 5, it is relatively affordable, making it a very good choice for general learning, programming, simple smart home control, small media center, and other application scenarios.
